Job summary

VIVO Infusion is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant Clinical Service Specialist to join our Millburn, NJ team. In this role you will welcome patients, support clinicians, and help maintain safe, compassionate care in our infusion center.

This position requires initiative, strong administrative experience, and the ability to work independently. You will handle intake, scheduling, lab specimen processing, and coordination with the Patient Services team while upholding HIPAA and CDC guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred; CPR/BLS required prior to start date.
• 1 year of experience in a clinical environment requested.
• 1 year in an administrative patient-facing or customer service role required.
• Phlebotomy and lab processing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of patient care activities rendering quality patient care per standards of practice.
• Room clinic patients in person or virtually and update patient chart with required information.
• Communicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses to ensure quality and continuity of care.
• Provide administrative and front-end support including greeting patients, assisting scheduling, handling calls, and processing payments.
• Oversee and ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms.
• Assist provider in the exam room as requested.
• Collect, prepare and submit ordered patient lab specimens as directed.
• Assist Patient Services team with prior authorizations for prescribed treatments and documents.
