Job summary

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks in a busy facility. You will assist with patient care, obtain specimens, and help coordinate appointments and messages.

The ideal candidate will have a Medical Assistant program credential, BLS, and are prepared to obtain certification within 90 days of hire. A sign-on bonus of $3,000 is offered for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program; certification required within 90 days or be a Credentialed MA.
• BLS certification required or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
• Outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with health care services, obtain specimens and conduct routine lab studies.
• Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments and manage phone messages.
• Perform administrative tasks to support a busy medical center operations.
