Job summary

Swedish Medical Group in Seattle seeks a Medical Assistant II to work under a licensed practitioner's delegation, performing duties to support patient care. The MA II is fully competent in clinical needs for the assigned clinic and operates per established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant with clinical skills including vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification (Vendor Managed).
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
• 6 months of Healthcare experience.
• 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training and Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands‑on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
• Coursework/Training and Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
• Coursework/Training and Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
• Coursework/Training and Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
