This is a Medical Assistant position for our Dermatology private practice. Seeking qualified individuals with talent, dedication and ability to grow. Especially interested in applicants who aspire to pursue a Physician Assistant (PA), Medical Doctor (MD), or similar career path.

Qualifications

Proficiency with Electronic Health / Medical Record (EHR / EMR) systems

Proficiency with Health Insurance, Prior-Authorizations and Prescription processes

Tasks and duties

Assisting doctor during examinations and surgeries

Updating and maintaining Patient records (EHR, EMR)

Pre and Post Surgery Care (Consent, Dressing Change, Suture Removal, etc.)

Processing Prescriptions, Refills, and Prior-Authorizations

Sending/receiving reports & notifications to Patients and primary care physicians

Promptly, accurately and reliably communicate with Patients

Maintenance of examination rooms and instruments

Inventory of medical supplies

Compensation depends on candidate's qualifications and experience.

This is a full-time position. Part-time may be considered.
