Job summary

St. Elizabeth Physicians in Florence, KY seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with patient care, exam preparation, and instruction per provider directions. You will ensure OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA compliance, document vitals, manage specimens, and assist with orders and billing tasks as needed.

Minimum High School diploma required. MA program completion, hands-on externship, SEP internship, EMT certification, or related health-science degree highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• MA program completion or hands-on externship preferred.
• EMT certification or SEP internship is a plus.
• Relevant health/science degree is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vitals in charts.
• Assist providers during examinations.
• Prepare patient for exams and administer basic nursing tasks.
• Collect/prepare lab specimens and perform basic tests.
• Maintain exam rooms and disinfect equipment.
• Ensure accurate patient information and complete forms for revenue cycle.
