Mat-Su Palmer Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a medical provider. You will perform clinical and administrative tasks, assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, manage patient intake, and ensure efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent service to patients and staff.

The role requires completing an accredited Medical Assistant program and 0-1 years of experience in a medical setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or externship required.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications and medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with non-invasive medical procedures and taking vital signs.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms before patient visits and procedures.
• Performs patient intake duties, including reporting test results and triage.
• Maintains daily logs and documentation.
• Supports administrative duties such as scheduling, referrals, and insurance eligibility.
