Job summary

McIver Clinic in Jacksonville, FL seeks a dependable Medical Assistant / Basic Machine Operator to support a busy urology perioperative team. This hybrid role combines patient care, provider procedures, and imaging services in a clinic setting.

Required are a high school diploma and CPR; Florida BMO certification is needed for the role. Preferred: MA certification and EMR experience; prior urology or surgical office exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Current Florida Basic Machine Operator (BMO) certification, as required.
• Preferred Medical Assistant certification.
• Experience in a medical office, urology, or office-based surgical setting is a plus.
• Experience with EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic machine operator and diagnostic imaging duties as assigned.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, treatments, and imaging.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for visits.
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient information.
• Assist physicians with examinations and in-office procedures.
• Document patient information in the EMR accurately.
• Prepare patients and clinical areas for examinations and imaging services.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Follow safety and infection-control procedures.
