Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant III to support clinical activities, patient care, and front-office functions at the Royal Oak site. The role emphasizes patient flow, team collaboration, and adherence to service-first standards.

The position requires completion of an accredited MA program, 1 year MA experience or equivalent, and timely BLS certification. Numerous CMA/RMA/ARMA/NHA licenses or LPN upon hire are accepted within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a competency-based accredited MA program, including a clinical rotation, or equivalent experience.
• 1 year MA experience; or CH MA internship and 6 months MA experience; or CH MA apprenticeship program.
• Required CRT-BLS (AHA) within 30 days from hire.
• MA certifications within 90 days (CMA/RMA/ARMA/NCMA/CCMA/NHA) or LPN license upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow and assist in delivery of primary and preventative care.
• Support physicians and clinic staff to improve office efficiency.
• Perform front office duties and provide coverage as needed in other departments.
• Collaborate with clerical staff to optimize patient throughput.
• Engage in care management and patient outreach as part of 20%+ dedicated time.
