Job summary

CoxHealth’s Ferrell Duncan Clinic in Springfield, MO is seeking a Medical Assistant III to perform administrative duties and assist clinical staff in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities include vital signs, data entry, scheduling, medication administration, room preparation, and ensuring supplies are stocked. Requires CMA/MA certification or completion of approved MA program with externship; strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; complete MA program incl pharmacology and externship.
• CMA/AAMA, RMA, CCMA, NRCMA, NCMA or NCCT certification preferred.
• Excellent communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Data entry in medical records.
• Measure and record vital signs and collect demographics.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist clinicians.
• Clean rooms, stock supplies, and administer medications.

Clinical duties will include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics or medical information including review of medication list, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment and stocking supplies.
