Job summary

Premier Medical Group of the Hudson Valley is seeking a certified Medical Assistant II to provide clinical support in the Urology department and assist with patient care and administrative tasks. Job involves exam room prep, instrument sterilization, and coordinating care with providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA) required from an accredited program.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; interacts professionally with patients and staff.
• Ability to learn and perform clinical tasks safely and accurately.
• Proficiency with computers and EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Medical Assistant I duties with advanced proficiency.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and instruments according to protocols.
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient history in the EHR.
• Ensure sterile technique and infection-control standards.
• Provide patient education and reinforce care plans.
• Assist with patient exams and procedures, coordinating care between rooms and departments.
• Handle scheduling, documentation, scanning, and general administrative tasks.
• Support onboarding and training of Medical Assistant I staff.
