Job summary

Premier Medical Group of the Hudson Valley is seeking a Medical Assistant II (Certified) to provide clinical and administrative support in a busy Urology clinic in the Hudson Valley, NY. The role involves room preparation, vital signs, patient education, and care coordination.

This on-site, full-time, non-exempt position offers an hourly base with phlebotomy differential when applicable, and opportunities to assist with MA I training and onboarding. Overtime may be required to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA) required from an accredited program.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting with attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency with computers and EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Medical Assistant I duties with advanced proficiency.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and instruments per protocols.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and medications in the EHR.
• Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and safety protocols.
• Provide patient education and reinforce care plans.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures with professionalism.
• Support efficient patient flow by coordinating care between rooms and departments.
• Perform scheduling, documentation, scanning, and general administrative tasks.
• Manage clinical communications with accuracy and professionalism.
• Assist with onboarding and training of Medical Assistant I staff.
• Identify workflow concerns and participate in solutions.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control standards and regulatory requirements.
