Job summary

You will assist with examinations, administer in-scope vaccines and medications, and document care in the EMR. A valid MA certification and BLS are required, with 1000 hours of back-office experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1000 hours of back-office experience required (within 1 year).
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
• Medical Assistant Certification from multiple boards OR RN/MA cross-credentialing options listed.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• Customer service aptitude demonstrated through Customer Service Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to providers and nurses during patient care encounters.
• Collects clinical information and performs point of care testing.
• Prepares exam rooms with supplies and equipment for visits and procedures.
• Assists practitioners with examinations, positioning, and sterile instrument handling.
• administers in-scope immunizations and medications per order.
• Documents patient care in the EMR and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• May perform other in-scope duties as assigned.
