Job summary

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification(s) from listed bodies OR equivalent credential.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• Customer service aptitude demonstrated through Customer Service Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to providers and nurses during patient care encounters.
• Collects clinical information and completes point of care testing.
• Assists with examinations, treatment, or procedures, and positions/drapes patients as needed.
• Administers in-scope immunizations and medications, and provides VIS information.
• Documents patient care and education in the electronic medical record.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and addresses patient concerns, participating in quality improvement initiatives.
