Job summary

Millennium Physician Group in Nokomis, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support clinical and administrative tasks across the care team. You will room patients, record vitals, assist with exams, and help prepare materials and spaces for procedures.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, patient communication, and collaboration with licensed providers. Requires HS diploma and 1–3 years of ambulatory care experience; BLS preferred; experience with EHR systems is valuable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of medical assistant or ambulatory clinical experience.
• Ambulatory care workflows, patient rooming, clinical documentation, infection control, specimen handling.
• Experience with electronic health record systems, clinical equipment, scheduling tools, and standard office tech.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, review medication history, and prepare for exams or procedures.
• Assist physicians with exams, procedures, treatments, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
• Complete follow-up tasks: patient communication, documentation updates, order prep, and care team coordination.
• Support medication, vaccine, and supply workflows by preparing materials, checking inventory, documenting use, and escalating issues.
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies in a safe, clean, ready condition.
