DESCRIPTION
Under the direct supervision of the clinic manager and general supervision of the clinic providers and licensed nursing staff, performs patient care duties requiring specific knowledge and training within the scope of the Business and Professions Code of California and regulations by The Joint Commission (TJC).
Responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments, managing patient system screens, accurate billing, environmental care, equipment and supply management, and cleaning/disinfecting the environment. Knowledge of medical terminology, online scheduling, universal precautions, and proper body mechanics is required. The role demands initiative, prioritization skills, and teamwork. Provides non-licensed medical support in an outpatient setting, including rooming patients, setting up equipment, assisting with exams and procedures, administering injections, collecting and analyzing specimens, providing patient instructions, and maintaining documentation.
May also provide front office or backup support as needed.

Annual Full Pay Range: $50,321 - $62,640 (prorated if less than full-time)
Hourly Range: $24.10 - $30.00
Compensation factors include experience, skills, education, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. The posted pay scale reflects the university's budgeted salary range, which may vary based on internal equity and other factors.
