Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care Quick Care Clinic is seeking a 60% Medical Assistant II to support walk-in clinics in the Iowa City area. The role involves patient care for a wide age range, working in a fast-paced, team-based environment and may require 12-hour shifts.

This position offers a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities include assisting in QuickCare clinics, floating to locations as needed, and performing medical and clerical tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant or completion of a recognized 1-year Medical Assistant program.
• Driver's license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
• Availability to provide support to other clinical locations based on clinical need/hours.
• EPIC experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Support UI Health Care QuickCare Clinics and float to multiple locations as needed.
• Under direct supervision of physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or registered nurse.
• Perform technical, patient care and related clerical functions in ambulatory settings.
