Medical Assistant II-Primary Care (Saxony/Fishers) *Peds Experience Preferred/Full-time/Days*

Position Details
  • Scheduled Hours: 4-5 days a week, with options for one ½ day or 4-10 hour days (7:15am-5:45pm).
  • Requires CURRENT MA certification.
  • Location: Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Fishers (Saxony), 13100 E. 136th Street, Suite 1200 Fishers, IN 46037.
  • Full-time, days, no weekends, no holidays.
Responsibilities

Under supervision, performs duties related to patient care and clinical tasks, including ensuring completeness of procedures, managing patient flow, performing lab work, instructing patients, and ensuring timely completion of medical orders and referrals. Handles registration, scheduling, maintains EMR files, and performs front office functions. May perform computerized physician order entry as directed. Expected to precept team members or externs as needed.

Qualifications
  • AHA BLS certification required; other advanced life support certifications may be needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from a Medical Assistant program required.
  • Current certification from recognized bodies (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, CMAC).
  • Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, ADA, ICD-10, CPT coding.
  • TB validation or within 6 months of hire preferred.
  • Knowledge of Quality Programs, Meaningful Use, Standard Work, laboratory procedures, insurance plans.
  • Ability to master clinical competencies, basic math, and accurate data entry.
