Job summary

Amesbury, MA – Beth Israel Lahey Health Primary Care seeks a Part-time Medical Assistant II. You will greet patients, collect data, perform basic procedures and support the clinical team in a fast-paced primary care setting.

You will also handle vitals, EKGs, injections and phlebotomy, assist with records, EMR entries and care coordination under supervision. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• 1–3 years related work experience.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based apps and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and serves as a communication resource; asks questions and solves problems.
• Takes complete and accurate information; prioritizes and communicates to providers.
• Answers phone calls promptly and responds to requests.
• Greets patients, escorts to exam rooms; ensures x-rays, lab slips, and records are ready.
• Obtains vitals, performs EKGs, injections, phlebotomy; assists providers.
• Performs screening, lab tests and specimen collection; supports QA standards.
• Assists with procuring medical records and updating EMR with new meds.
