Job summary

ChristianaCare Primary Care at Springside is seeking a Medical Assistant II who is dependable, detail oriented, and capable of supporting both virtual and on‑site exams, rooming patients, recording vitals, and performing tests including injections and EKGs.

They will assist clinicians, prepare treatment rooms, manage EMR documentation, handle referrals, refills, and scheduling, and contribute to staff mentoring and practice operations within a clinic that offers on‑site labs and a broad benefits

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
• 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years’ experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Room patients, record vitals, perform tests, injections, medication administration, and EKGs.
• Assist clinicians with exams and procedures, prepare treatment rooms, manage EMR documentation, handle patient callbacks, and maintain equipment sterilization.
• Additional duties include managing authorizations, referrals, refills, scheduling, quality control of POCT equipment, clerical tasks, supply management, staff coverage, and ensuring safe work practices
