Job Summary

We are offering up to a $1,000 Sign-on Bonus.

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II for our Primary Care Department at Baptist Primary Care Seven Pines in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position. The selected candidate will float between the back and front office, with responsibilities including rooming patients, assisting providers, check-in/out procedures, and answering phones. The candidate must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance to physicians
• Obtain vital signs
• Greet and chaperone patients during medical visits
• Perform telephone triage
• Patient education
• Maintain medical documentation
• Schedule care, treatment, diagnostic tests as directed by the physician
• Process CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals
• Cross-train in front office, referrals, and other areas (e.g., FP and Peds)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Associate's Degree preferred
• Over 5 years of patient care experience
• Experience in a physician's office preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
