ChristianaCare is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant II for ChristianaCare Primary Care at Springside in Glasgow, Delaware. The role supports virtual and on-site patient care, rooms patients, and assists clinicians during exams and procedures.

Responsibilities include vitals, injections, EKGs, EMR documentation, referrals, scheduling, and supply management while upholding safety and quality care standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or MA certification (NCCA/ANSI).
• 2 years’ MA experience required; 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, record vitals, perform tests, injections, medications, and EKGs.
• Assist clinicians with exams and procedures, prepare rooms, and document in EMR.
• Manage authorizations, referrals, scheduling, and POCT equipment quality control.

Christiana Care _ Primary Care at Springside _ is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented _ Medical Assistant II _ with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.

ChristianaCare Primary Care at Springside is in Glasgow, Delaware. ChristianaCare Primary Care at Springside provides comprehensive primary medical care services for both adults and children. The practice offers various healthcare services, including gynecology and women’s health, immunizations, physical examinations, preventive medicine, and treatment for both acute and chronic conditions. Additionally, on-site lab services are available to facilitate patient care and enhance diagnostic efficiency.

The _ Medical Assistant II _ ensures high-quality patient care, assists providers with virtual and on-site exams and treatments, and provides leadership by mentoring staff and supporting practice operations.

Work Schedule:

• Monday & Wednesday: 7:30am – 7pm
• Tuesday & Thursday: 7:30am – 5pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
• No weekends or holidays

Duties / Responsibilities:
The _ Medical Assistant II _ supports virtual and on‑site patient care by rooming patients, recording vitals, performing tests, injections, medication administration, and EKGs. They assist clinicians with exams and procedures, prepare treatment rooms, manage EMR documentation, handle patient callbacks, and maintain equipment sterilization. Additional duties include managing authorizations, referrals, refills, scheduling, quality control of POCT equipment, clerical tasks, supply management, staff coverage, and ensuring safe work practices.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
• 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years’ experience is preferred

Hourly Pay Range: $20.24 - $30.36

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
