Job summary

Providence Health and Services is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support patient care under the direction of a licensed practitioner. The MA II performs all MA I duties and is fully competent in clinic-specific clinical tasks, following established policies and procedures.

The role requires graduation from an accredited MA program or apprenticeship, with at least 6 months healthcare experience and BLS within 30 days of hire. The position is full-time, daytime, on-site at Mission Viejo.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on medical assisting training
• Apprenticeship program completed or two years of MA-related medical training in the US Armed Forces
• Minimum one year of MA experience with vital signs, injections and medication administration
• BLS from American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
• Healthcare experience of at least 6 months

Responsibilities
