Job summary

Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital is hiring a Medical Assistant II to support patient care under physician delegation. You will perform MA II duties with competence, following established policies and procedures.

The role requires MA training or apprenticeship, with at least 6 months healthcare/MA experience and BLS certification upon hire. This is a full-time, on-site position at Hood River, OR, within Providence's patient-centered care teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training for medical assistants.
• Graduate of an MA apprenticeship program or military medical training.
• Two years of medical training in US Armed Forces is acceptable.
• At least one year of MA work with vital signs, injections and medication administration.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Six months of healthcare experience and six months MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed practitioner under delegation to provide patient care.
• Perform MA II duties per established policy and procedures.
• Obtain vital signs, administer injections, and medications as directed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure safety and compliance.
