Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II in Abington, PA. The MA coordinates patient flow, assists in data collection for intake, and enters history into the medical record under provider direction.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, mentoring new MAs, and supporting clinics across the Delaware Valley. Requires CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA and BLS within 90 days, with progression through MA I–III as experience grows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program or MA certification
• Must obtain BLS through AHA within 90 days
• Acceptable certifications CMA, RMA, NCMA or CCMA
• Basic clinical and administrative skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow by assisting in clinical data collection and review for patient intake.
• Enter pertinent history in the medical record and support providers with necessary information.
• Assist with clinical procedures in accordance with protocol.
• Support clinics at Nemours locations in the Delaware Valley.
• Mentor and train new Medical Assistants.
