Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Carmel Family Medicine location in North Carolina. The role is full time (40 hours per week) with work hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

The pay range is $22.90 to $34.35 per hour, with standard benefits eligibility. The MA will perform rooming, vital signs, medication reconciliation, and health screenings, support procedures, and handle lab duties and vaccines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military clinical training in lieu.
• Two years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks including vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture, specimen handling, and POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines following safety protocols.
• Handles scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and communicates effectively.
