Job summary

Humana/CenterWell is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 in Jacksonville, FL to be the first contact for patient care, handling clinical duties and administrative tasks onsite.

You will support physicians, perform phlebotomy and vaccine administration, and document in the EMR while following TB screening requirements and CPR certification standards. This is a patient-facing role with TB screening upon hire.

Qualifications

• Completed MA program or 5+ years of relevant experience with provider approval.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required.
• TB screening on hire as part of TB program.

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms, obtain vitals, administer medications and vaccines.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct diagnostic tests.
• Sterilize equipment and maintain examination rooms; document in EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and APs.
• Deliver direct patient care per active certification.
• Follow policies with some prioritization and timing latitude.
• Adhere to standard procedures with room for interpretation.
