Job summary

Corewell Health in Royal Oak is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support clinic operations, help maintain smooth patient flow, and assist physicians with primary and preventative care.

The position requires completion of an accredited MA program or equivalent, several MA certifications, and Michigan LPN eligibility. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered for external applicants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited MA program, including clinical rotation, or equivalent experience; 6 months of relevant experience.
• Six (6) months MA work experience or a completed Beaumont MA internship is required.
• Team members may have other MA certifications and hire dates before November 1, 2025
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA 30 days from hire
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC 30 days from hire required
• CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - AAMA within 90 Days required
• CRT-Medical Assistant, Registered (RMA) - AMT within 90 Days required
• CRT-Medical Assistant, American Registry (ARMA) - AMT within 90 Days required

Scope of work

Under the direction of management and physician leadership, performs and oversees functions related to the clinical activities including, but not limited to: maintains patient flow by assisting and promoting the delivery of primary and preventative health care, performs technical procedures, lab protocols and clinically oriented activities under physician/provider direction. The Medical Assistant II will assist management in achieving office efficiencies in accordance with stated policies/procedures to ensure efficient operations with a focus on supporting physicians, clinic staff and management which embodies the \"Service First\" philosophy to promote customer satisfaction.
