A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and manage administrative tasks. This position requires coordination with supervisors and physicians while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Schedule:
PRN | Day Shift | 16 Hours Per Week | Monday - Friday | Rotating schedule based on clinic needs, 2 days per week | No Weekends | No Holidays

Description:
Under the supervision of the designated supervisor and assigned physician, performs duties associated with direct patient care and clinical direction to provide patient care in accordance with organizational standards. Ensures completeness of ordered procedures and treatments, promotes smooth patient flow, performs general lab work, instructs patients on procedures and treatments, and ensures medical orders and referrals are carried out accurately and promptly. Handles registration and scheduling activities as per organizational and departmental procedures. Maintains EMR files and performs general front office functions as needed. May perform computerized physician order entry if directed by the assigned physician. Expected to precept current MA team members or MA externs as requested by leadership.
