Job summary

Millennium Physician Group in Oviedo, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support under physician supervision. The role includes venipuncture, chart preparation, document scanning, and patient communication to ensure smooth clinic flow.

Candidates should have 1 year MA experience, 1 year EMR experience (Athena preferred), and be bilingual in English/Spanish. GED or high school diploma required; interview includes MA skills assessment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• 1 year of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, Athena preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Skills Assessment required during interview.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and draw blood (venipuncture).
• Scan patient documents into the system.
• Assist physicians with procedures and lab requests.
• Prepare patient charts 24 hours in advance.
• Answer patient messages and process refill requests promptly.
• Maintain organized and stocked medication, exam, and lab rooms.
• Perform routine lab tests and complete HEDIS measures.
• Coordinate patient flow and maintain records.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
