Hugh Chatham Family Medicine-Hays (5229 Rock Creek Rd. Hays NC 28635)

Position: Medical Assistant II

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management.

Education and Formal Training: High school diploma or equivalent AND completion of one of the following:

  • Certified Nurse Aide I or II
  • Phlebotomy
  • Pharmacy Technician

Work Experience: Outpatient clinic experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrates high mental and emotional tolerance, tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude. Acts as a patient advocate. Possesses thorough knowledge of medical practice, care procedures, medical equipment, safety hazards, and precautions. Skilled in assisting treatments, taking vital signs, maintaining records, and developing quality assurance. Able to establish effective relationships and communicate clearly. Knowledge of emergency, fire, safety, disaster, and infection control policies.
