Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant II to support both clinical and administrative tasks in a busy Cary, NC office. You will assist physicians with patient care, manage patient flow, and handle clerical duties while ensuring clear communication with patients.

Preferred candidates have Gastroenterology exposure and familiarity with EMR systems to ensure efficient, compassionate service and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED or medical assisting credential.
• Experience: Minimum one year in a medical facility; gastroenterology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient care responsibilities including checking schedules, assisting with exam rooms, charting, and vital signs.
• Handles clerical tasks: records, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient check-in/out.
• Contributes to office organization and responds to emergencies as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
