Job Summary

This role prepares patients for provider exams, records clinical data, administers treatments, and supports office procedures across multiple clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for provider exam, take vital signs, record patient history and assist in office procedures.
• Administer treatment, medications and injections as ordered.
• Conduct pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointment with recent test results and correspondence.
• Call patient regarding test results as instructed by provider.
• Float to nearby clinics as needed and travel to multiple worksites.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma/GED required or 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of High School Diploma. Completion of Medical Assistant Program required.
• Experience: Three to five years in a healthcare setting preferred. Computer skills. Excellent customer service skills.
• Bilingual: Spanish preferred.
• License & Certifications: BLS required within 90 days of hire/transfer. Completion of annual Medical Assistant Competency training. Current California CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) certificate or completion of an external MA Phlebotomy training.

Work Schedule

Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm. Willing to travel to multiple clinics.

Pay

Hourly: $23.15 - $34.73.
