Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support clinic operations under licensed clinicians. The role involves rooming patients, recording vital signs, performing EKGs and phlebotomy, and assisting with routine exams and procedures.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma, BLS certification, and an approved Medical Assistant credential. The position offers a day shift within a busy Endoscopy Suite, supporting a dedicated health care team.

Qualifications

• Must take and record vital signs, history, and progress notes.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care tests per clinic standards.
• May administer non-intravenous injections as directed within scope.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vitals.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and POC tests.
• Assist in routine examinations and procedures.
• Review lab results and flag abnormalities to physicians.
