Job summary

CATALYST Physician Group - NTX PLLC is seeking a Medical Assistant II to provide mid-level clinical support, room patients, and document encounters in the EMR. The role expands independent clinical duties, supports diverse workflows, and enhances patient experience in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, vaccines, and test administration, while adhering to HIPAA and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certification as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred or within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, document vitals, and record information in EMR.
• Perform routine tests, procedures, medications and vaccines as needed.
• Support infection control, HIPAA, and safety protocols.
• Assist with complex workflows and cross-train across departments.
• Lead pods/stations for compliance and inventory; mentor staff.
• Support care coordination, referrals and prior authorizations.
