Job summary

Sutter Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for a 26-week limited term position to provide clinical and clerical support to the patient care team. The role involves back-office and patient-facing tasks to support high-quality care, under clinician supervision.

Required are a HS Diploma/GED and MA training, with BLS and MA certification supporting eligibility for incentives in 2025. Travel between multiple Davis-area sites is expected.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant training or equivalent (per Medical Board of CA).
• MA certification required to be eligible for incentive (2025).
• 1 year of recent relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support to the patient care team.
• Assist with taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and injections.
• Support adherence to medical plans of care and patient education.
• Work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines and quality goals.
