Job summary

Sutter Health in San Francisco is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide back office and patient care support within the patient care team. You will assist with clinical tasks, prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, and support the flow of work under supervision.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, medical assistant training or equivalent on-the-job training, BLS certification, and about 1 year of experience. Monday–Friday, 40 hours, 8-hour shift, start between 8:30 and 9:30.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; MA training or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain is required.
• 1 year of relevant clinical/clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support to providers and team.
• Take vital signs and prepare patients for exams.
• Administer injections as trained and manage standard procedures.
• Support EHR data entry and daily workflow to ensure efficient care.
