Klickitat County Public Hospital District No 1 seeks a Medical Assistant II to support patient care in the Family Medicine clinic. In addition to MA I responsibilities, you will perform aseptic procedures, injections, ECGs, and medication administration with provider orders, while ensuring smooth patient flow and EMR documentation.

Eligibility includes WA state MA certification, BLS, and ideally 1+ year of outpatient experience; a $2500 sign-on bonus is offered along with comprehensive benefits

Competenze

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current WA State Medical Assistant certification (Certified) required.
  • National Certification through AAMA or equivalent preferred.
  • BLS required.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Internet, EMR).
  • At least one year of direct patient care in outpatient/acute care setting preferred.

Mansioni

  • Performs aseptic and sterile procedures as directed.
  • Administers injections (capillary blood draw, intradermal, subcutaneous, IM) with provider order.
  • Conducts electrocardiography when needed.
  • Supports examinations, procedures, minor surgeries and EMR documentation.
  • Organizes patient flow and coordinates access to care with the team.

GENERAL SUMMARY:***The Medical Assistant II meets the following requirements in addition to the requirements of the Medical Assistant I job description:The Medical Assistant I (MA) performs direct patient care activities under the direction of a licensed provider in the Family Medicine (FM) clinic within his/her scope of practice (RCW 18.360.050). The MA I supports the provider, nurse, or other staff with the daily coordination of patient care and patient access by organizing patient flow, collecting patient information, entering all patient information and clinical data in the electronic medical record (EMR), communicating key information with the physician/provider, anticipating and acting on patient needs proactively. The MA I demonstrates excellence in customer service during interactions with employees, managers/supervisors, patients, patient family members, physicians and other customers; and works collaboratively with colleagues and departments throughout the organization to provide optimal outcomes for patients. Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES (per RCW 18.360.050 [1]):Performs aseptic procedures and assists with sterile procedures.Capillary blood withdrawal, and intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections.Electrocardiography.Administers medication and vaccines with provider order.Prepares patients for, and supports with, routine and specialty examinations, procedures, treatments and minor office surgeries and EMR documentation.Full-time benefits include medical, vision, dental, and prescription drug coverage, as well as HSA/FSA, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, retirement plans, and generous Paid Time Off.Eligible for $2500 sign on bonus.Minimum Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications):Education / Licensure:High school diploma or GED required.Current Washington State Medical Assistant certification (Certified) required.National Certification through AAMA or equivalent preferred.BLS required.Basic computer knowledge required (Word, Excel, Internet, EMR).Experience:At least one (1) year recent experience providing direct patient care in an outpatient or acute care medical setting preferred.
