Job summary

CareMore Health in Downey, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support clinicians in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician. Qualifications

## Medical Assistant IIApply: Downey, CA: Full time: Posted 2 Days Ago: M104702**Job Description Summary**Responsible for assisting clinicians in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician.**How will you make an impact & Requirements**Provides front and/or back-office support.* Greets patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner in compliance with Care Center (CCC) or Medical Group Practice protocols and workflows.* Oversees patient check in by ensuring medical records/charts have been pulled, patient data is current, appropriate paperwork is in order, and charts are reviewed/prepared.* Interviews patient measures vital signs and records reason for visit.* Explains procedures, performs treatments, and administers prescribed medication.* Oversees patient check out by scheduling follow up appointments, collecting co-payment if applicable, ensuring paperwork is complete.* Schedules and confirms patient appointments.* Reconciles co-payments at the end of each day.**Minimum Requirements:*** Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.* Requires an active, current and valid Medical Assistant certification.* Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) may be required.* For Caremore Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.**Compensation Range:**$24.00to$36.00*The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting.
