Accountabilities:

  • Greet and interview patients, record vital signs, and update medical charts to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Assist with daily clinical operations, maintaining smooth patient flow and a safe, welcoming care environment.
  • Provide direct patient care including administering vaccines, medications (oral/injection), EKGs, and assisting with procedures.
  • Conduct lab tests under supervision after skill validation and prepare instruments for sterilization.
  • Ensure proper functioning of medical equipment, manage safety protocols, and report malfunctions.
  • Adhere to infection control and OSHA regulations, including handling and disposing of biomedical waste.
  • Support accurate recordkeeping by maintaining logs and entering nursing data in the system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in follow-ups for test results and patient preparation.
  • Be available for varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • High school diploma, GED, or technical school graduation required.
  • Completion of a medical assistant training program is mandatory.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Medical Assistant role.
  • National certification or registration in Medical Assisting preferred (EMT, LPN, Paramedic also considered).
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and team members effectively.
  • Experience with EPIC, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Phlebotomy and Peripheral IV certification preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable.
