Job summary

ChristianaCare Primary Care at Elkton is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant I to support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care.

The role greets patients, prepares them for visits, conducts basic clinical tasks (testing, injections, EKGs), maintains exam rooms and EMR updates, and coordinates scheduling, referrals, and patient communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or MA certification by NCCA/ANSI.

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients virtually and in person.
• Prepare patients for visits and perform basic clinical tasks (testing, injections, EKGs).
• Assist with exams and maintain exam rooms/equipment.
• Manage EMR updates, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.
• Handle clerical duties and troubleshoot video visits; support patient portal access.
