ChristianaCare Primary Care at Elkton seeks a dependable Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills. The role supports patients in-person and virtually, prepares them for visits, and assists with exams in a busy primary care setting in Elkton, Maryland.

The candidate will perform basic clinical tasks, manage EMR updates, and coordinate referrals and scheduling, while contributing to a patient-centered care team.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant Program or hold MA Certification by a national organization accredited by NCCA/ANSI.

Primary Care at Elkton is located in Elkton, Maryland. Primary Care at Elkton provides comprehensive family care through a team of clinicians, including primary care doctors and nurse practitioners, who work closely with ChristianaCare specialists. They offer a range of services, including preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, chronic disease management, and sick visits and acute care. Work Schedule

Monday: 7am - 7pm Tuesday through Friday: 8am - 5pm No weekends or holidays

Duties / Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications

High School Graduate or GED required. A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range

$19.48 - $28.24 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
