UTHealth Houston is seeking a Medical Assistant I for the ACTAT department at our Southeast location. The role supports clinical teams by assisting with patient care, recording vitals, preparing rooms, and handling routine clerical tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.

The ideal candidate has a patient-centered approach, basic life support knowledge, and completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• Six months experience or completion of an approved Medical Assistant Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical tasks and patient care.
• Record vital signs and patient information.
• Prepare rooms and keep clinical areas stocked.
• Perform routine clerical duties and schedule follow-ups.
