Job summary

Summa Health in Cleveland is seeking a Medical Assistant I to join the WM team at the Akron City Campus. The role is full-time, 40 hours, daytime hours, with a hire-on incentive of $1500.

The position requires completion of an approved MA program and at least one year of related medical office experience. In this role you will support care teams, handle medical terminology, use EMR systems, and maintain HIPAA confidentiality while traveling between locations as needed.

Qualifications

• One year related medical office experience; or externship; or associated education.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and EMR.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Ability to travel between locations within the medical group.
• Must pass yearly clinical skill competencies.
• Required ability to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months.
