Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card is required.
• California driver’s license is required.
• Venipuncture experience preferred; competency within one year of hire appointed.
• EHR documentation experience is highly desired.
• Must adhere to employee health/immunization requirements or valid exemption.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient care and clerical functions within scope of practice.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by provider.
• Verify patient identity per HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with minor procedures and diagnostic examinations.
• Maintain infection control practices per Clinica Sierra Vista policies.
• Document patient information in the Electronic Health Records system.
