Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant I to support licensed clinicians by performing delegated duties that provide basic patient care. The role includes both administrative and clinical tasks to ensure smooth patient flow in the clinic.

The ideal candidate will have a formal MA education or apprenticeship, plus Washington MA certification on hire and BLS within 30 days. Experience in a fast-paced clinic and EHR familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants.
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or similar.
• Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant with clinical duties (vital signs, injections, medications).
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)

Responsibilities

• The MA I works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties to assist in providing basic patient care.
• Meet basic patient care needs through administrative and clinical duties.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and regulations.
