Job summary

Providence seeks a Medical Assistant II to support patient care under a licensed practitioner's delegation. You will perform MA I duties and be fully competent in clinical needs for the assigned clinic, following established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited medical assistant program with hands-on clinical training.
• Preferred completion of an MA apprenticeship program or equivalent clinical training.
• Military medical training accepted as equivalent experience.
• At hire, Washington Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• Within 30 days of hire: BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Minimum 6 months of healthcare experience and 6 months MA experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed practitioner in patient care under delegation and policy.
• Perform MA II duties and demonstrate competency in clinical needs for assigned clinic.

Education

Graduate of accredited medical assistant program with hands-on clinical training
