SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Bernville Rd Suite 201 team is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join the team! This office is home to several specialties including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pain Management, Vascular, and Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, and averages 70-80 patients per day. Suite 201 is closed on weekends and major holidays.

The selected Medical Assistant (MA) will room patients, take vitals, and triage patients. Clinical duties will also consist of administering immunizations and assisting providers with minor in-house procedures. Other duties involve fulfilling prior authorizations and prescriptions, managing referrals, and overseeing the e-Message pool to assist patients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90-days of employment date or current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Previous outpatient experience preferred.
