Job summary

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, documenting medical information, and assisting with blood draws and specimen handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.
• Ability to take vital signs and collect specimens as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
• Perform general office duties such as answering phones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms; liaise with other departments and advocate for patients.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log and prepare for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms, keep them neat and stocked, and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
