Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL seeks a Temp Medical Assistant (non-certified) to support the Occupational Health Center during the flu season. The role offers flexible hours, with Monday–Friday shifts and occasional weekends and evenings. Certification as a Medical Assistant is required, with 0–1 year experience in MA, phlebotomy, or EKG preferred.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate of completion from a Medical Assistant Program.
• 0-1 Year Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy or EKG experience, or equivalent.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures including vital signs, height/weight, temperature, etc.
• Perform audiometric, pulmonary function, tonometry, and vision testing per contract protocol.
• Conduct 12-lead ECGs and collect blood for lab tests with appropriate labeling.
• Identify specimens and manage requisitions; ensure timely lab processing and documentation.
• Perform drug screening (non-DOT and DOT) and record results per protocol.
• Prepare charts for physician review and support cross-functional tasks as needed.

Certified or non- certified Hours are flexibles.
