ChristianaCare’s Minimal Invasive Gyn Surgical Department in Map II in Newark, DE is seeking a professional, dependable Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.

You will support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care. The position follows a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within ChristianaCare.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or ANSI.

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients virtually and in person, prepare them for visits, perform basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs).
• Assist with exams and maintain exam rooms and equipment.
• Manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.

ChristianaCare’s Center for Advanced Gynecology & Minimally Invasive Surgery provides specialized care for conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, abnormal bleeding, and chronic pelvic pain. Duties / Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

Hourly Pay Range: $19.48 - $28.24This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
